No Fear in Love

It was November 5, 2014 I had been dealing with anxiety and panicking for months leading up to this…We had completed the classes, home studies and were waiting for official certification.  But I had begun to doubt my ability and allow fear to take over. On this day, I called a very wise friend who was a foster and adoptive mom of 5 for wisdom and encouragement.  She said, “Fear is the opposite of faith, If you’re in fear, the enemy is close and that means God has great plans for you!” I journaled this day as I had been during this process. Instantly I felt relief wash over me.  I felt a weight off my shoulders.  I decided to go forward in faith instead of fear.  We waited with anticipation and on March 4, 2015  Ella, 4 months old, was brought to our home and we began the foster care journey, with wide eyes and love in our hearts.  It was an unexplainable feeling holding her for the first time.  Later that Fall, I was going back through my journal ...
